The Radfund steering committee met for the better part of a year to articulate our principles and values, and focus on how we can help be a part of shifting power. Through the founding year we held intimate conversations about race, class, wealth, and their relationships to power and privilege. We challenged ourselves to openly discuss our family backgrounds and current financial situations.
We researched organizations and connected with individuals immersed in this work who advised us on how to structure our organization and how to think about giving. We held workshops on Intersectionality, and how we believe our contributions can help bring about structural change.
Through this process we built the framework in which we will make grants and create a foundation for Radfund to grow in line with our community values.
